Bringing a whole new meaning to being hacked on Facebook by your sister, Microsoft has now issued a warning of malware posing as Firefox add-ons and updating Google Chrome extensions, which actually allow hackers inside your Facebook profile. Microsoft released a blog late Friday, on their Malware Protection Centre, describing Trojan:JS/Febipos, originally caught active in Brazil.
An innocent download of the popular web browsers, activates the Trojan to detect whether the computer is logged into a Facebook account looking to download a config file that holds a list of commands for the browser extension. Once succesful the trojan can;

Join a group
Invite friends to a group
Chat to friends
Comment on a post
Posts are mainly written in Brazil’s dominant language, Portuguese that contain links to other Facebook pages. Microsoft caught a bad link to a blog/video and blocked the page and video media. Translated from Portuguese called;
“15 YEAR-OLD VICTIM OF BULLYING COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER SHOWING HER BREASTS ON FACEBOOK.”
